Oleonda's Story
Established in 1977, The Oleonda Jameson Trust is a private philanthropic foundation based in Concord, New Hampshire. It was established and funded by the estate of Oleonda Jameson, a New Hampshire philanthropist. Oleonda Jameson had a strong desire and beautiful vision to go into the middle of the city streets simply handing money out to poor, destitute, and needy residents.
The trust did not raise money from the public; instead, it was created through her bequest. It operates today as a perpetual charitable endowment, and its grant-making funds are generated entirely by the returns and interest on its original invested assets.
Asset Value: It holds roughly $4.4 in assets.
Disbursements: It distributes around $200,000 to $270,000 annually.
Giving Focus: It primarily supports New Hampshire nonprofits, with a heavy emphasis on the Concord area and programs that assist the poor and needy. Oleonda was passionate about helping children and youth programs, human services, healthcare, churches, and education, with a strong priority placed on helping the poor and impoverished.
The Grantsmanship Center has listed the Oleonda Jameson Trust as the 15th most giving foundation in New Hampshire. https://www.tgci.com/funding-sources/NH/top
